G.S.B.Sabha, Mumbai’s Mahila Shakha, established in 1957, celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2017. A series of programs were held throughout the year to mark the occasion and this was culminated with a grand Diamond Jubilee Program held on 26th February, 2017. The overwhelming support of the Community to this program resulted in a surplus of approx. Rs. 5 lakhs being generated.
The Mahila Shakha has used this surplus to set up the MAHILA SHAKHA SENIOR CITIZEN ADHAAR ENDOWMENT FUND. The interest earned by investing the corpus is used to facilitate the stay in old age homes of senior citizens of our community who need such admission but cannot afford the same.

The utilization from this Fund was started by facilitating the stay of a couple at Shantikunj Sevashram, the old age home at Panvel managed by Vidyadhiraj Charitable Trust. After the passing away of the husband last year, Sabha continues supporting the stay of the wife at the old age home.
