The 13th edition of the V.R. Shenoy Memorial Inter-GSB Cricket Tournament was held on 1st December 2024 at the Kreeda Mandir grounds, King’s Circle. The tournament was inaugurated by Shri Kaushik Godbole, an Apex Council member of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and serving his second term. In his speech, Shri Godbole assured full support to emerging cricketers.
A total of 12 teams participated in this exciting, day-long event. The teams included GSB Sabha Mumbai, GSB Andheri, GSB Dombivli, GSB Dahisar, GSB Khar-Danda, GSB Kurla, GSB Vasai-Virar, GSB Thane, GSB Mira Road, GSB Wadala, GSB Mulund, and GSB Seva Mandal. Morning breakfast, lunch and snacks were provided to all participants and spectators.
Professional umpires and scorers from the MCA were invited to ensure a fair and neutral game. The tournament received valuable support from its Gold Sponsor, Saraswat Bank, as well as banner support from NKGSB Bank, Sunil Shenoy, and Madhusudan Shenoy—long-time pillars of support for the tournament.
The final match was played between GSB Andheri and GSB Vasai-Virar, with GSB Andheri emerging as the winner, marking their second consecutive victory in the V.R. Shenoy Memorial Tournament.
The evening prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Girish Pai, a committee member of GSB Sabha, and his wife Smt. Amritha Pai, a committee member of Mahila Shakha.
