Our Felicitations
G.S.B. Talent Recognition Award
On a suggestion and initial donation made by Shri K. M. Kamath, the Sabha added one more feather to its cap by instituting the G.S.B. Talent Recognition Award to honour personalities from our Community who have excelled in fields of performing arts, fine arts and literature. The first felicitations were made during Gudi Padva Sneh Milan 2006. The awardees so far are as under.

Vatsala R. Shenoy Memorial G.S.B. Woman Entrepreneur Award :
To celebrate and recognise the role played by women in the economic growth of the nation, the Sabha instituted the “Vatsala R. Shenoy Memorial G.S.B. Woman Entrepreneur Award” in 2014. Smt. Vatsala Shenoy was Mahila Shakha President and Sabha Vice President for several years. The founder sponsor of this award are her daughter-in-law and son, Smt. Sadhana and Shri Sunil Shenoy.

Educational Merit Awards
During the Foundation Day Celebrations held every year, students from our community who have excelled in academic studies from SSC onwards are felicitated.
The awardees are presented with certificates and silver medals, which are sponsored by Smt. Jayashree Ramesh Shenoy.
From the merit award endowments which have been set up for this purpose, cash awards were given till 2016. From 2017, inspiring, motivational, self-help and personality development books are awarded to the students.
V. R. Shenoy Memorial Vidyanidhi Merit Award :
This award was first presented during the Foundation Day Celebrations held on 15th August, 2011. The award is presented to one student each from Std I to IX, selected from the beneficiaries of educational assistance from the Sabha’s Vidyanidhi Fund.
From the educational assistance applications received, the topper in each class from Std I to IX is selected and felicitated with a certificate and cash prize (till 2016) and a book from year 2017 onwards.
The award has been instituted in memory of In memory of Shri V. R. Shenoy, who served on the Sabha’s Managing Committee in various capacities till his demise in 2010.
From its inception, this award has been sponsored by Shri B. T. Mallya, Trustee of the Sabha.
GSB Promising Talent Award :
Voice of GSB, the quarterly newsletter of the Sabha, has a Kids Zone page in which drawing contributions from children of our community are printed. As a mark of encouragement to these children, they are presented with the GSB Promising Talent Award during the Foundation Day Celebrations held every year.
The awardees are felicitated with a certificate and cash prize (till 2016) and a book from year 2017 onwards.
From its inception, this award has been sponsored by Shri B. T. Mallya, Trustee of the Sabha.
